I grew up locally and graduated from Shawnee Mission North before earning my Degree at the University of Kansas with a Major in Communications and Public Relations and a Minor in Political Science.

I have worked in the pharmaceutical industry since graduation, spending more than 20 years in the field of diabetes.  For more than 14 years managed a team of direct reports.

Politically, I am a fiscal conservative but believe in the concept of non-partisan local elections.  I am a coalition builder, and would seek to bring the council together (which has been a problem in Shawnee previously). My goal would be to work hard to represent my fellow constituents in Ward 3 while still looking out for the greater interest of the entire city.

Personally, I am the proud father of an 18 year-old daughter and 16 year-old son.  I have been married to my amazing wife Terri for 23 years. We lived in Lenexa for less than 7 years, and moved to our current home in Shawnee for more than 15 years. My entire immediate family all reside in Johnson County.  I spent my free time coaching sporting events when the kids were younger, but have recently taken on new interests which will hopefully be Shawnee government.
